Rcaf m152cdn?

Hello, my friend in Ohio has purchased a 1955 M152CDN, which appears to have been painted yellow, originally. The only markings seem to be "439" in black numbers, about 4" high, in the centre of the doors. The odometer shows very low mileage, and there is NO CAR# stamped on the frame. So my questions are;

1. Did the RCAF use M152's, and if so were they yellow, and would the "439" denote "439 Squadron"?

2. Would an RCAF truck be assigned a CAR #? Being as, pre unification, it was a Canadian ARMY Registration number, did RCAF use their own system?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Would it be possible to get a photograph of the vehicle's data plate showing the SN?

The CF Airforce (and likely the RCAF before) indeed used yellow airfield M152's. While there is a 439 Sqn which dates from WWII, I couldn't say if 439 numbers on the side of your truck are related. I regularly admired a yellow M152 at Namao (Edmonton Alta) in the 70's. It was in simply supurb condition kept parked in a heated breezeway. Probably a crash truck, though I don't remember if there were markings on the truck I do remember there was a yellow whoopie light on the top so it could drive out on the airstrip.
Cheers JD
