CTS [Canadian Training School] Marking Help Please!
 

Hi again everyone!

You may have seen my recent post on the restoration forum asking for help in the markings of our current Norton Big 4 restoration project. After much thought, discussion and further research, we have now decided to change our plan slightly and do the motorbike and sidecar in the markings of the Canadian Training School (CTS). Part of the reason for this is our lack of a Motley Gun Mount, however we have also seen a photo of a bike closer to our Census number which we found very encouraging!

The bike we have seen has the CTS Logo on the front of the sidecar with the 4 Squared box- we have it on very good authority from a good friends research that the first and third squares were red and the second and fourth being white. We however are unsure of the correct colouring of the C.T.S lettering in what looks to be in a white box. We also don't know the colouring of the Maple Leaf encompassed in a circle that sits above the logo.

We are also unsure if there would have been any other markings on the bike or sidecar except from the Norton Logo on both sides of the tank. Possibly a sub-unit or divisional number?

If anyone could shed any light on this we would be very grateful!
