Passengers grab handle. MkI* Universal Carrier
I was wondering if anyone had a spare grab handle that goes on the engine cover in the right hand rear of the MkI* U.C. (I know from the pictures what it looks like, but never seen one in the flesh) Also looking for one hinge for the folding flap on the left front armour.

I need some help with the dimensions of 3 things, please:
1.The rear passengers engine cover grab handle. 2. the steel plate of the rear seat back. (length and width of the rectangle, not including the bulges for the bolt lugs) and the thickness. 3 the dimensions of the steel angle that mounts to the engine cover rail and forms the support at the inside edge of the rear seat. This relates to a MkI U.C. British or Canadian Thank you in advance. |
Hi Lynn,
Are you on the Carrier facebook page? One of the members has just posted a load of pictures with dimensions of the grab handle for me, as I'm going to try to make one (well, three now for guys in the UK, assuming they come out ok). If not I'll copy the pictures and email them to you, or post on here (there's quite a few). I'm using 19mm, 2mm wall thickness pipe, as it's the closest to the 3/4" pipe used on the handle. I have one of the back plate's as well, I'll post some pictures and dimensions for you today. I'm not sure what the third part is that you're referring to, can you post a picture? Do you have dimensions for the flare pistol bracket (I'm missing mine)? Regards, Tom |

Hi Tom and Andrew. Thanks for the help. I found the details of the grab handle on F.B.
Tom, I don't have the holster bracket or details. Maybe someone will post that and a picture. I need to make two. |
