MT Routes are those across eastern India as far as the western edge of Burma, but not Burma proper. A very interesting map.

Slim was, in my view, one of the most capable but under-rated British generals: always on the far end of the supply sources from Europe and North America, his Army working in the most inhospitable of environments against a fanatical and dedicated enemy.
