I don't know the answer but,Here is the whole manual with wiring diagrams..

http://www.qsl.net/ve3bdb/manpage3.html

It will make a difference as to weather the 19 set is Canadian or UK manufacture..They used different colour codes for grounds and hots...
Here is the international wiring colour code charts that make be of some good to you,,

Wiring

Should I have said Mk III??

Bruce MacMillan 24-09-12 09:27

This is for the #2 power supply.

pin1 -12v heaters, -12v dynamotor & gnd
pin2 i/c speech
pin3 +12v heaters & relay
pin4 +12v vibrator & dynamotor
pin5 signal
pin6 -12v vibrator

If working only from the vibrator it is advisable not to power the i/c, A set & B set all at once as it loads the psu. Besides, there's nothing like the scream of a well lubed dynamotor. :D

Cable

I may have confused the situation.

I have a 110/24 volt power supply. It has a cable that connects to the 19 set power supply. The cable has a pos. and neg. lead

What pins do the positive and negative connect to on the six point connector?

Thanks

ok, 24v is a whole different ball game (or hockey).

For a 2 wire 24v supply the negative goes to pin 1 and the positive goes to pin 4.

Set the switch inside the power supply to 24v.

You can only use the dynamotor position, the vibrator is disabled.

Can you see any reason

why the negative goes to pin
6 and the positive to pins 3 and 4?

In a 2 wire 12v power cable the negative goes to pins 1 & 6. Positive goes to pins 3 & 4.

Because there are 3 ways to attach batteries there are 3 different power cables. They are not interchangable.

1) 12v 2 wire: +12 to pins 3 & 4, -12v to pins 1 & 6

2) 24v 3 wire: +24v to pin 4, 12v tap to pins 3 & 6, -24 to pin 1

3) 24v 2 wire: +24v to pin 4, -24v to pin 1

The 3 wire is used where you have 2 12v batteries in series. tapping at 12v allows you to use the vibrator supply.

Remember that the dynamotor sucks current big time on spin up. It can often trip power supplies that can't provide the juice.

Aha....

You are across the pond. What I have is a ZB 10247, Supply Unit

Rectifier No 1, S1. Need to replace the 110 cord (no ground) and am doing

the Rectifier to 19 set Power cord. It has the cutest little red and black

plugs where the cord goes in the front. Any hints.
