WS 128 Australia

A nice pic of the WS 128, These are a unique Australian HF infantry radio set, designed late WW2 and used in Korea.
The control harness featured either a telephone style handset or the little throat mic with the small US pattern earpiece headphones. Utilizing miniature tubes, everything was crammed inside the set, access for maintenance was a nightmare. I have owned a few of these and a ham friend used one on the 80mx ham band to contact me in Tasmania from his QTH in Melbourne. The transmitter can be XTAL locked . There were at least two versions of this set made. 128 on Ebay Aust. right now but you will need deep pockets ! These 128 sets are far less common than the ubiquitous U.S. BC611 'handy talky' which bring higher prices than the seller is asking for this 128 set.
