Good one

Hi Tony

Enjoyed the video, my first plane ride was on a DC7 in 1956 or 1957 was either Eastern or American airlines, Hartford, CT to Washington DC.

I thought it was great but my brother who was with me hated it and never flew if he could help it. But then again he went on to work in aero space in the sixties which may explain his dislike for flying, maybe as an engineer he knows that there really nothing holding those flying machines in the air.

Have a friend who is working on the Lockheed Super G Constellation for Lufthansa, when it makes it's first flight I'm sure he will send me the video, which I'll share.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil

I am pleased you enjoyed the clip and it bought back good memories. I just love those old piston driven engines with a sound all their own. :note:

Cheers

When I was a kid I flew from Saskatoon to Vancouver on a Trans Canada Airlines North Star airliner. Those four Merlins sure roared and vibrated the plane till it was airborne. My brother sure got nervous when the wings started getting lift and the outer ends raised up a few feet. All in all a great flight though.
