Interesting truck not military

I wonder how many surplus parts were used on this truck built in 1946?

I wonder how many surplus CV joints he keeps in the truck when driving fully loaded?

Why don't we get trucks like that here? :nono:

Wow! Murty Brothers was a pretty interesting company!

Although their actual vehicle production numbers were low, they built very specialized equipment it seems but developed and patented many innovative design concepts that were licensed to other manufacturers products.

Only 2 U joints required.......

Weird........ how fast must it go backwards to cool the engine?

Highly ingenious and probably designed by an ex CMP military engineer.......

would be hoot to have for a car show.

Not military but...

Interesting that this non-military truck uses military dash gauges and black-out type dash illumination lamps. Using what was readily available?

It might be a CCKW Cab (without the cowl vents), but the front sheetmetal looks like the 1940 VW COE with the radiator opening sealed up.
