M152 fuel pump

It looks like the mechanical fuel pump has packed it in on my M152 and Lordco or NAPA don't have a listing for it. There are some businesses down south that offer rebuilds for lots of money. I have found some M37 sites that show that Carter and AC make a fuel pump for the 218/230 engines. Does anybody know if they can be used on the 251? They are smaller with a glass bowl but the mount looks the same.

251 Fuel Pump

Brian Asbury in Acton, Ontario
George Manerri (sp?) of Vermont Commercial Salvage
Vintage Power Wagon in Iowa

will all sell you rebuild kits or entire fuel pumps authentic to your truck.

Having said that many people replace the mechanical pump with a 24v unit but then must convert their vacumn windshield wipers to electric also

Good Luck

m152...

Thanks Robert. I will look into these sources for replacement. In the meantime I've picked up a fuel pump only that will get me mobile. Too many events coming up to not be on the road. I can get by without the wipers as it never rains in Vancouver...
