SOLD
Edit: Now entertaining offers :)

Hello all,

Here is the last of the three vehicles. A Chevrolet C15A Cab 13, Wireless Radio truck, this one has generated the most amount of interest so far. The owner (John Hotson) unfortunately has passed away but was well renowned in the community and we would like to see these trucks go to a good home. This one was built to replicate an Officers Quarters, for the 61 Perth Regiment, 5th Canadian Armored Division.

Located near Stratford, Ontario Canada and we are willing to help arrange haulage/shipping locally, across Canada and beyond. You probably know more than me about the specifics from the pictures than I do. It has been fully restored, and has since sat for a couple years. It has just had a full engine service and a new battery. Tires look to be brand new, they still have the mould lines on them. It has had modern features added like 12V electrics, alternator, and a brake servo to make it more 'driveable'. I highly recommend a visit to see them in person so that they can be appreciated fully, asking price is $20,000 CAD, ownership in hand. Please email me at jack@sonofawoodcutter.ca for more pics, private message me or call +1 (647) 638 8404. Cheers!

Hello all, we were standing firm on the price to begin but are now entertaining offers if anybody is interested? One did sell already, just the radio truck and the F60 left. Then we will move onto international auction sites etc? You can call or text me anytime at 647 638 8404 or email jack@sonofawoodcutter.ca. Thanks

I still like the MLU sign Mr Hotson made. If it still comes with the truck, it would certainly add value

Sign

In 2005 Goderich Ontario hosted an event to make an addition to the Dutch communities Dedication Park for the Liberation of Holland by Canadians. As many WW2 vehicles as could be sourced were present for veterans to ride in and as a period touch the Maple Leaf Up signs were made, by me, and used to guide people to the event. Each person who brought a WW2 vehicle was given one in appreciation of their efforts. There is one on my shop wall and should be a bunch more out there somewhere.

MLU Sign - one is now in Oshawa

Gordon,

thanks for your post. I bought one of those nice signs last year at the OMVA swap meet in Milton. It's great to know the history of it. Maybe I can get you to autograph it next month at Aquino.

Thank you Gordon, that’s good to know. MLU and the connection with the Dutch

Dutch Community

Hanno
There have been several events and dedications for WW2 with participation of the local Dutch community to show their appreciation to the veterans. The last event was in May of 2017 when Princess Margriet of the Netherlands honoured them with her presence.

Gordon, I recall reading about Princess Margriet's visit.

More recently, the bond between our nations was strengthened by naming a tulip after veteran Don White, see http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...129#post269129 and https://www.netherlandsandyou.nl/lat...he-netherlands.

Then of course, there are the bonds between MLU members globally
