Bedford Trucks in BEF
I am working on some Milicast Model kits.
I was told these Bedford commercial vehicles were pressed into service in 1939 in the BEF. Most were abandoned in France during the retreat to Dunkirk and were then re-used by the Wehrmacht. Did anybody have photos to confirm these please? Thanks https://i.ibb.co/JpwDmRV/UK323-DR-2-1.jpg https://i.ibb.co/FsyR5nM/UK324-Bedford-O-Tipper-1.jpg |
I doubt the front wheels looked like that?

So What are you saying Richard? Those front wheels with that center offset would leave a bigger gap between the rear tyres, which at least implies different wheels front to rear. How many holes in the civvy wheels? Six? (not the stud holes)

Bedford MS/ML 2 Ton or OS/OL 3 Ton ?
The last photo is not the original hood? |

Don't be led by the photos in the first post as the offset of the wheels on the models are rather exaggerated from the real thing. |
Richard, that's what I was saying.
Konstantin, thank you for the photos. |

The differences are visible on the hood grommets ( eyelets ). |
