Hetzer - ONTR Museum

Hi all, I was going to post this in response to Robins thread regarding the Flakpanzer and Hetzer at Borden but figured I'd give it its own thread so not to get too off topic.

This past year, the Ontario Regiment Museum purchased a Hetzer... actually, as purchased, it was a Hetzer which had been converted post-war to a Swiss G13.

The vehicle is currently located in Poland where it is being restored back to its original Hetzer configuration. If all goes to plan, it will be at the Museum as another operational addition to the collection later this year. Included below are some images taken so far throughout the restoration process.

While on the topic of the Hetzer, here is a video update posted today regarding Bordens Hetzer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nJuAlDJeMo

Kolten,

thank you for the news, yes the Hetzer is a great addition, I look forward to it's arrival.

I think discussion on this forum may have triggered the Borden update.

Hey, that is very cool. I hope it turns up in better kip then the Kruse Foundation vehicles.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Seems like quite the coincidence.

Hoping and expecting that it will as it is coming from the same source of our 2 very nicely restored Leopard 1A5's. Looking forward.
