For CMP Truck?

Cannot say I have seen that brand nor that weight rating for the hydraulic jacks. Usually it is a Walker jack or possibly a Autospecialties jack, and of the 3 ton size.

The military jacks of that era, tended to have a cupped top to fit under a round section axle housing. Just a thought.

I could be wrong but isn’t ‘Dowty’ better known in the aviation industry? Aircraft hydraulic systems?

Could this jack be ex-Air Force?

I think of Dowty for aviation products made of light alloy - whether cast, forged or machined but it turns out they did quite a bit more. The link in post 3 above contains further links to Dowty brochures describing products the company made. Worth a look.

To me Dowty is about Dowty washers. An aluminium crush washer with a neoprene seal molded into it, used in hydraulic applications.
