Flatattack Ford water pump builder - bad news

I recently emailed Mike Davidson who traded as Flatattack racing products. Mike used to build new pumps for flathead V8 engines.

I had a reply from his wife Anne: "This is Mikes wife Anne here, unfortunately due to ill health Mike is unable to help you with your enquiry."

Sounds like that might be the end of that service unless he either recovers or someone else takes over.

Ford Early V8 water pump rebuilders

There are two excellent pump rebuilders that advertise in the V8 Times. One in CA [Fryer] and one on Florida . Any flathead research should include the Early Ford V8 Club [international too] Dave

Thanks Dave, someone warned not to send to the Florida rebuilder as they leak.

Mike has been admitted to a Home, as he is suffering from Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, he is not able to assist running the business from "the sidelines', and even more significantly, we have lost an absolute treasure trove of Sidevalve/Flathead knowledge, built up over many years of practical involvement.

What a sad thing to happen.

More than that, what a dreadful thing to happen to him and those close to him. Having experienced this myself with my mother I understand just how devastating this is.

Pretty common thing. My mum as well, Keith.
