Uptons Corowa

Something different. On TV today the ABC ran a piece about Upton Engineering at Corowa. The show was mainly looking at the huge tractors Upton made using surplus Grant tank final drives. Only around 40 tractors were built and they were powered by large diesel motors. The tractors are highly sought after by collectors.

The show featured the family members and went into the history, beginning in 1944.

Upton was a favourite hunting ground for the Corowa Swim-in attendees, they were always very generous about letting us military vehicle nuts go through the sheds and yards. The crates of NOS CMP 216 pistons were always a good incentive.

The show will be available on IVIEW (Landline) https://iview.abc.net.au/show/landline
