Good afternoon to all....

Two pics from the old Hulton Picture Library that probably are a visual sadness...I wonder where they all went ?

Not a Windsor, it is a Loyd Carrier.

IIRC, that pic was from Hamburg, Germany circa 1958. And a Bruce said, they ended up as pots & pans and most likely as BMWs and who-the-hell-knows what-the-hell-else.

It makes one weep. :(

Do I hear some anger in this?

Two very sad pics there, but historical.
The really sad thing is that some heartless scrap dealers are just as happy to scrap them today as they were back then!.

Justin.

If they were still all here ours wouldn't be very rare! Or as valuable ;) Pity about the tracks though.

Just checked and yes, a Hamburg scrapyard as Jif says.

The sign says: "Caution. Mortal danger. Admission forbidden" That's a sort of literal translation at least. Doubt that would deter a MLUer for more than a nanosecond!
