I don't know what kind of medal it is (don't know medals) but
it looks like it belonged to A. F. King of the Royal Air Force (WW1 / Britain?) and the number his service record number ... (which you probably already figured out anyways :D ) Is there an archives in the UK to look up this mans name? Maybe it would mention medals awarded to him? Don't know if any of this helps but hope so. Am sure someone else will pop in here and give you all sorts of info though ... |

Sounds like you've got yourself a British War Medal from the Great War that was awarded to a member of the Royal Air Force. See here: http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/s...nu/group03/bwm for details. Cheers |
yes thats it, funny how something like that would end up far from home.
too bad the US does not name medals, would give us somehting to track. |
