Restored Otter Recce Car

In the late 1970's I examined an Otter owned by a collector in St Hubert, Quebec (Jacques Payer?). It had the names and signatures of the Ont R troopers who worked on the rebuild a few years earlier. Why a restoration project was sold was never answered. I'd like to know where that vehicle ended up?

Jim Burrill 23-03-13 04:05

Lance - That I get a new project to work on!

On you two working on the same project: a replica Otter?

Hanno, it would be two separate projects, but at the same location.. Still tight lipped for now..

Jim Burrill 25-03-13 19:54

Hanno. with our reeanctment club doing a Reconnaissance Regt impression, we have been kicking around finding an Light Recce Car to display. Both the Humber Light LRC, the Otter LRC and the Morris LRC are in play. One member bought a Morris LRC and it made it to the States and in his garage, but family heath issues have put it on long term hold. We have begun trying to convert a 109 Land Rover chassis into a Humber LRC, but that has a lot of issues. SO, I am lookign at using a real CMP C-15 chassis and driveline as the foundation for a replica Otter. A lot of balls in the air. Time will tell....
