Hi Bill ..
Are you selling the complete truck and body..??Or just the body..??
Doug Lavoie in Fort Mac AB is looking for a CMP and might be interested...

C15A WIRE 3

Alex: Sorry for delay in replying re buddy wanting to buy complete truck. I am parting it out as I need the cab, pintle & afew other parts. I will have the chassis, axles, wheels, steering column, engine hood, front fenders and a 235 engine left when I get what I need, so if your friend or anyone else is interested in this, I will want to dispose of this rather quickly to free up some garage space. If any interest in this, let me know & I'll take a few pix once it is stripped down.

Cheers, Bill Spence

Hi Bill..
Craig Tanner ,from Burton NB is doing a wire -5 C-15A..
He may want some parts and pieces..
Do you know of any manuals on the wire 5 body for lay out and such...
Harry Moon and Jon Skagfeld are doing them too so there must be some kind of diagrams for Craig to follow..Can any one help out..??

William Spence (RIP) 27-01-06 05:00

Wireless Manuals

Craig: Sorry I can't help you re wireless manuals, I don't have anything showing the interior configuration of either the Wire 3 ( which mine is) or the Wire 5.
There is 2 members in our club with these vehicles, if I can find anything re above from them, I'll pass it on.

Adding Pictures to a FOR SALE item

I am going to put a FOR SALE ad in to sell a 1944 C15A chassis, axles, tranny, 5 wheels, transfer case, steering wheel & column, 235 Chev engine, dog house, front engine cover, front fenders, etc. How do I attach a couple of pix of this item so that potential customers can see what is for sale? Wouls appreciate any help that you can give me.

Mant tks, Bill Spence

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 17-07-06 22:22

Just ensure that the pics are 600 pixels or less in width, and no more than 100 Kb in size. Any picture editor can ensure this. Secondly, do NOT try to preview them; your attachment will disappear, because the preview is what's on the server, not on your PC.

Good luck.

Adding Pix to FOR SALE items

Geoff: Tks for ur reply re above, however I haven't the foggiest idea of what a pixel is never mind what size it is. And if I did know, how wud I know what 3 letter combination of codes to select to enter the pix & where do I find these codes???? These pix were taken with a SONY CYBERSHOT digital camera & are now in my computer in a file called MY PICTURES which I can normally attach to an e-mail message by hitting the ATTACHMENT key. However I haven't taken the MLU UP course of attaching pictures so am at a loss to decifer the above data re PIXELS, 3 LETTER CODES, ETC.
How do I get instructions in layman's language re sending pix
????

Bill Spence

William

If you have Microsft photo editor right click on the image, select open with photo editor, click on image on the tool box, and click on resize. Select pixils if not already selected and reduce the width to a maximum of 600.

To post enter your text then click on browse, select the file you want to attach, open it then submit.

MLU Ad

Neil: Tks for info re posting pix on MLU but my Windows program doesn't seem to have all the positions that you mention & my Granddaughter who is my computer genious is up north at present fighting forest fires (she is a commercial pilot who flies up north) & won't be back in Winnipeg until we get a whole heap of rain, so I have put the ad in FOR SALE without any pix & hope that it may stir up some interest.
Many thanks for your help & will keep you posted if I manage to sell off these pieces. I am building a C8AX from a 1942 HUP & needed the cab, running boards & a lot of other parts for my project so I finally had to buy a WIRE-3 to get what I needed but now I need my space back, so this stuff must go. Tks again.

Cheers, Bill Spence

Bill
I too am at the mercy of my kids to get this kind of work done. But there is an easy way to post a picture. Go to photobucket.com and set up a basic (free) account. It is very easy to download your photo(s) onto there. Then you cut the URL link off the bottom of your picture in the photobucket "album", and you paste it to your for sale ad. That way you don't use up all Geoff's computer space either.
When your ad is over, you can go to photobucket and delete your photo.

When you write a reply on MLU, just above the SUBMIT REPLY button is a box to ATTACH FILE. Click on BROWSE. Thiswill enable you to go to you MY PICTURES folder. In your MY PICTURES folder, hover the cursor over the pic you want (don't click yet), it will tell you the file size and pixel size. As long as the pic is less than 100kb and less than 700 wide, you can add it as an attachment by double-clicking on it. If the pic is more than 100kb in size or more than 700 wide, then RIGHT click the pic and select EDIT. This should open PAINT, or it may also open Microsoft Picture Manager. Both of these programs have a tool to resize the picture to get you under the 100kb and 700 pixel limit. You can then double-click it to add to the post as an attachment.

NOTE: Despite what has been written by our esteemed Moderator, the maximum pixel width is 700 pixels!.

Image Size

Hi all
I normally reduce to about 300p as that allows the image to be within my screen limits and it doesn't take forever to download.

So, there ya go...techno wizard stuff from the Antipodean down-under mob.

Crikey...you guys are much more up on this stuff than the likes of me!

I recently dragged my Luddite self into the 21st century after purchasing a digital camera.

More goddamn manuals and techno-speak to learn.

If I ever learn how to plug pics into this forum...God help Geoff's bandwidth!

Hi Bill

Are you parting out the c15a chassis or selling it complete?

Phil

William Spence (RIP) 27-10-06 05:13

C15A Chassis, etc.

Phil: I wud like to sell chassis complete with wheels (5), 235 engine, tranny, transfer case, front fenders, engine covers, outside & inside, front bumper.& wooden steering wheel & steering column. However there hasn't been any action re selling this way, so I may consider selling off parts if enough interest in doing this. Let me know what parts interest you or if you might want whole shebang. I wud like to clear space it is taking up to save me putting outside for winter. It is presently garaged. I have lots of pix if you need to see anything. Cheers, Bill Spence
