Ontario SARS Quarantines?
 

Hi Everyone;

I just heard a while ago on the BC news (it's 6 pm in BC right now) that 10,000 people are quarantined in Ontario due to SARS. Did I hear the number wrong?

BC has "probable" 4 cases so far.

1500 in isolation at the moment.

My mother is a nurse on the Vets wing of Sunnybrooke and is quite beside herself with the SARS scare.

Hi Dana. I hope you're well this evening. Thanks for answering my questions. It's so hard to know what news is TRUE news :rolleyes:

I hope this SARS thing gets OVER fast. I feel for everyone back in the hot spots there right now , all worrying and fearing(and in the rest of the world) and hope people really do isolate themselves until they know they're fine. So many people health is compromised already by age and chronic health issues and they just are soooo vulnerable.

I can imagine the state of health care back there right now... access that is. I keep my fingers crossed.

This is turning out to be QUITE the new century:eek:

Hi.

I just wanted to say I'm really glad that the Travel Advisory for Toronto has been lifted. Hopefully people will all start taking advantage of the flight specials and other deals to entice them to come back and enjoy:)

I also hope things are settling down with the hospital panics and precautions??? Are they?
