The manual transmission

I like standard because:

I can control the vehicle speed without braking.

(add your reason)

I admit that the automatic gearbox is a real wonder.
I met her on my wedding trip to Miami in 1997 when I rented a car to get around.
Here in Argentina, cars with manual gearboxes were always cheaper and I always had vehicles with manual gearboxes, the synchronization of the gears is very useful, it's a shame that passing a change in a CMP becomes torture, until you master it. ..

There is nothing more satisfying than driving a vehicle with a crash (or synchro) gearbox, it keeps your mind on your driving. I personally hate automatics as they think they know best, but the drivers knows best as he can see the road ahead.
