Great stuff!

Thanks Hanno for uploading the file.
I think this diagram will answer many questions and also create new questions.
The novelty for me is the distributor's waterprofing system.
At least here in the forum, I never read any comments about that accessory.
Regards

Thanks Mariano for sharing it. It shows the wiring of the six-switch dash plate - see http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=31319

Here’s another picture of the waterproofed distributor (NMP):

"Not My Picture" - in other words "I found this picture on the interweb somewhere I can't remember" :)

Can anyone help me contact Van Hove Herman and request a scan of the FWP 1 FORD CANADA, ILLUS., PARTS LIST SPECIAL WADEPROOF EQUIPMENT for CDN Mil. Pattern Vehicles. (Jun.'45)manual? It is very important for me to have in detail the parts listed in this manual! Thanks in advance!

Hi Hanno,thnks for your help!
Days ago I sent a PM to Herman, but I still have not had a reply. Maybe some of the members have had direct contact with him, so I asked if they could help me to contact him.
Regards

Hi Mariano,

I revisited your diagram this week to check my wiring on my late war round gauge panel. All wire sizes agreed except one in my original harness I used for a pattern. No. 24, resistor to coil, on my harness is 16 gauge but listed as 14 gauge on your data plate. Interestingly the wire to the resistor, No. 16, is 16 gauge and the wire from the coil to the distributor is also 16 gauge. Why 14 gauge in the middle I wonder?

I was able to correctly label wires 30 and 30A instead of 30A and 30B which I used based on an earlier wiring diagram showing a voltage gauge instead of an ammeter which is used on the round gauge panels. In the case of the ammeter equipped the current goes from the solenoid, through the meter, to the battery terminal on the regulator. On the voltmeter equipped it goes directly to the regulator from the solenoid.

Many thanks again for posting it. Nice to confirm my wires go where they should and are the correct gauge.

Cheers,
