Hi All,
been awhile since I gave an update on my APC project.

well the M75 is running moving and making tracks :)

everything has now been restored on the inside and I drove it over to my painter last week to get it looking all pretty.

so once shes painted will post a few picryes and then next will be to finish her off with proper marking.

One thing I'm looking for a s dewatted 50 cal I have the proper mounts just no 50 cal.

anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one??

Regards,

Mark Anderson

The conferate Air Force recently had some made for their B24 Liberator.

May be a cheaper way to go!

I will see if I can get some more info

Believe they were about US$800.

I have checked my source at the CAF ad he advises.

Carl Scholl at aero Trader makes the finest in quality repro .5 machine gun.

You should be able to contact him on

www.aerotrader.com/

Hope this helps

No point to it. A replica is prohibited from production or import in Canada. They are not supposed to be bought or sold within Canada either, although there is no registry for them. (This does not apply to liscenced dealers and movie supply companies.)
What Mark needs is a deactivated 50.

You could check with Peter Wilke at Ontario Gun. He still had a dozen or so when I was there back in Feb. But I think he may have had one customer buy most or all of them a month later. Never know, the deal may have fallen through.

Its along way from you but ...

... but I believe that Marstar in Van Kleek Hill (an hour east of Ottawa) has some also ...

HMGs in Canada

Marstar will charge middle four figures for a .50 cal. To which most guys are showing them two middle fingers. I doubt they sell very many at that price.

Wilke in Matachewan advertises in Access to Firearms and is probably on canadiangunnutz.com. Poke around and see if you can find him.

A new dewat gun has to meet more stringent RCMP specs these days. What was 'perfectly safe' is now 'pretty dangerous'. If you do get one, have a box of tissues handy when you look closely.

I keep hearing about how the specs for deactivation have changed. I have been deactivating guns since around 1990, and the guidelines are exactly the same. The reporting has changed mind you, and you now need a licensed gunsmith to sign off on any deactivation. For some reason, the honor system, where an individual used to fill out the notice and send it in to the CFC, did not work out so well.
