15cwt on Alberta Kijiji

http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ491738377

Above is a link to a decent Chev 14cwt on kijiji. Missing the tool box of course, but overall it has a lot of the little niceties (hitch, cargo box with tailgate, lights) and appears to be fairly rust free.

Looks like a previous owner may have tried to make it better with a Ford front logo on the grill though (wishful thinking).

Go get er boys.

Heavily Modified Ford in New Brunswick

Just spotted this one:

http://newbrunswick.kijiji.ca/c-cars...AdIdZ498995278

Certainly the truck has been heavily modified.

Is that a Universal Carrier Engine on the stand? The gas tank appears to be for a carrier and the Rad cap is definitely from a carrier.

If the truck is not of interest maybe that engine is worth investigating!

Colin

rob love 07-08-13 06:04

Sure does look like a carrier set-up. The carb has the governor, and the fan extension might even be there, although it's hard to tell.

Not a cmp - mlvw for sale

That MLVW has been for sale for quite a while now. Take it from someone who is restoring one which was in similar condition: That price will only reflect half the battle of restoration. The truly hard part will be finding the unique Cdn parts needed to properly finish it.

Sorry, I should have put it in the "seen on Kijiji" thread but I don't know how to delete this and I don't want to double post.

Prototype huw

From the ad:

Up for serious Military Vehicle collectors and WW11 Canadian History buffs is the "Last Of The Last". This is a 1943 Chevrolet Canadian Military Pattern HUP ZL. This prototype (less than 100 were made) was designed to have a wireless (radio) repair shop built into the rear. Of the less than 100 manufactured, this is the only one remaining world wide. It has had a ground up restoration and is currently licensed and insured to drive on BC roads. Yes, there are a number of small areas to finish of (including the rear workshop), but you can drive it away today and carry on with it in your spare time. There is too much to tell in this ad. I have lots of photos etc to show if this is your vehicle. Price is $25,000.00 CDN. No tire kickers or Looky Loos! Contact me if you require any further info.

Very interesting indeed. I wonder what a one of one 42 Pilot Model would sell for?

Very Very Interesting INDEED Rob.....

Nice chit chatting with you tonight Rob. I'm totally amazed to what extent Kijiji is viewed world wide. As Hanno pointed out earlier in this thread, you can go on to Milweb and buy one for $70,000.00. What's that make ours???

THE ODD THING is that I got an email from a fellow in Newfoundland today, who I think is in the petroleum exploration game. And lo and behold, while walking and exploring through the bush near Gander ....he comes across this old truck. Didn't know what it was till he saw my ad on Kijiji. He plans on hauling it out. Mr Hup......how far are you from Gander????? Robert

Robert, I think you will find that the ad is also linked by other websites. For instance, I was surprised to find your Chev in the email update I get everyday from BringaTrailer:

http://bringatrailer.com/2013/10/08/...ilitary-truck/

Hope you find a good home for the truck!

Alex

Newfie Hup....

Hey Robert.....Rob and I have dragged worst basket cases home before...

.....only one rub....... my 5 ton float trailer will not float to NFLD.

Bob C

PS..... how are you feeling these days??

Gordon Yeo 10-10-13 22:19

float to NFLD

Bob

There has been a vehicle ferry to Newfoundland for years. That should make the enterprise very doable. Think of it as a holiday!

Robert, no problem. Indeed the comments are postitive and you see some familiar MLU names among those responding!

If you are into cars it's quite a nice site to subscribe. You get an email each day with classic cars that are for sale all over the world, sometimes military.

CMP and other truck on Kijiji

1 Attachment(s)
Here are another two trucks in Newdale, Manitoba (located just off Yellowhead Highway north west of Brandon)

One is a CMP and if I remember the back was cut off and in poor shape. The other was a grain box type truck that may have been used at a base (Shilo or Rivers would be in the local area).

here is the link:
http://manitoba.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLa...9&Keyword=army

Bit of a pipe dream wanting $10,000.00 for the CMP.

Fred Howard of Newdale owns them but his grandson is the one trying to sell them.

Western - McBride BC

Not really a CMP, but the box looks like it may have come from a CMP
http://bc.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLargeIma...yword=military

Harry Moon 07-01-14 04:34

It is and it looks like a M135 chassis as well. In all my travels around B.C. i only went through McBride once 24 years ago. Not the time of year to go up there for a visit either.

Grant Bowker 07-01-14 04:42

The seller claims it's an Internatinal Harvester,
http://bc.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-...AdIdZ556421794
clearly its a bitsa (bitsa this, bitsa that). The rear axle shafts don't look quite right for M135 but there's not enough detail in the shadows for me to be sure.
