This photo is very sad, with so many old British trucks in it, Austin K5, K2 ambulances, Bedford OY, Humber 4x4, etc.

Having seen it before, there is something very odd about one of the vehicles. The side view of the ambulance, is the one in question. You would assume it is an Austin K2, it is definitely not a Bedford ML as those had the front axle slightly more forward than a K2, the front wing not encroaching on the bulkhead. The point that is mystifying me is that it has a Bedford OY bonnet. As these vehicles appear to have come direct form the Army ( I think it is a German scrapyard), it cannot be a civilian mod.

Any ideas?
