Just so happens.....

But don't ask me to quote source, as the image was scanned from an unknown magazine for me, by a friend that I no longer see. ( Like so many these days :confused )

Thanks a lot Pedr,
it seems that those early days of mechanised warfare use to be a little bit forgotten. But I am sure that those erly vehicles are as nice as the WWII ones. For example, the Mack AC...

Happy searching,
Jan.

Here is a photo of my 1916 Albion 3 ton General Service truck. It took me more than 5,000 hours to restore it, back in the 1970's/80's. Jill and I are off on a Veteran Car Rally in 2006. 657km. in 3 weeks at an average speed of 25km/h.

The chassis number is 361A and was laid down on 6th December 1915 to be delivered in Feburary 1916. It was used in France and Belguim until 1919 and then returned to the UK.

I was fortunate to be able to view and photograph the original build sheet for my truck at the Albion Archives in Biggar, Scotland last year.

Corowa Swim-In 2011 is fast approaching and it is the Year of the British and European Vehicle.

So my Albion will fit in well.
Regards Rick

Here's an ebay pic of a Karrier. It's the same type as the earlier one I posted with my uncle sitting on the fender. Registration number listed as LP 9020
