Hi Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply, O.S front and rear looks correct, so that's what I will be applying to mine . I'll post some pictures when the census numbers have been stencilled on.
Thanks again
Keith

GS trailer finally finished, this week end, well pleased with the end result, I particularly like the T plate on the side.
A modern trailer board will be fitted when on the road, then removed at events
Enjoy
Keith

THESE ORIGINALLY HAD A VAN-6 BODY AND WAS ONE OF 2,000 C.15 AND F.15 TRUCKS CONVERTED BY DENNIS MOTORS LIMITED, GUILDFORD, SURREY TO 20-M.M. A.A. GUN PLATFORM WITH VAUXHALL MOTORS LIMITED MANUFACTURED GUN CARRIAGE-CUM-MOUNT.

This is the second known SM 2485 chassis, although my database may include a few more. This must be unique..demobbed, sold by the Ministry of Supply and then still in the same family! Wow! That Census Number appears to be incorrect BUT I wonder if it was genuine nevertheless...does the original paperwork quote the Census Number I wonder?

Here’s another one I ran into today. It’s an F15 which had a hard life on a Yorkshire farm but still has the contract tag.

Jason is the current owner and he plans to restore it with a proper body. Now, will that be an AA Platform or the later British wooden GS body?

He does already have a nice trailer to pull behind the AA....., but maybe a British wooden body would be the easier option(?).

I did see pictures recently of someone in the UK making an effort to accuratley recreate the missing bits of his F15 with AA body......a truck that could also be seen on the track at the Goodwood Revival!......Is the owner here on the forum?

That’d be me Alex, slowly chipping away at putting the F15 back to how it was ordered.

If if any interest I’ve got the wooden GS body that was fit over the AA platform now no longer required. Could be made to fit with not much work.
