Could I ask how much links are for complet set?

rob love 02-08-14 23:45

Brand new track would have 168 per side for the first 50 miles. At that time, the pebbling from the casting will have worn and one link is removed to bring the track to 167.

Could somebody tell me if is mkII or mlI? there is CTL7461

Lynn Eades 18-12-14 21:11

MkI, my friend. The MkII has the wiring armour shifted to use a dash mounting bolt. So, 1 less hole there in the later carriers.
Cheers.

British MkI is free. I need only canadian mkII parts.

eddy8men 02-03-15 19:41

radek my early mk1* was factory built with british headlights and smiths instruments, so good choice on the smiths speedo.

Excellent! Once you replace the driver side step and crowbar attachment, along with the two applicable web straps and wing nuts, you should be quite pleased.

Are you mounting a Stacey style towing attachment? There is a stowage modification that calles for two UK produced replacement parts with leather retaining straps, IIRC the P/N is TL1029. They allow the pick handle to be relocated over the top edge of the tool plate. There is a DME in Nigel Watson Universal Carriers Volume II.

With respect to mounting the pick helve when the Stacey towing attachment is used, see:
