Looks like its in Liverpool and someone was interrupted in the process of jacking it up on bricks.

Robin Craig 10-05-11 12:32

I have tracked the vehicle down as being owned by Paul Toner in Scotland and as yet have not made contact with him but will do soon.

Amazing what you can find out in the matter of a day with the world wide web and some well placed questions, what a wonderful time we live in!

Well I phoned (had to use an old MIL sat phone) and a meet & greet has been arranged. Gilles, if you can arrange for suppression, then it should be a go. Unmarked US bills. If we do it right, extraction and recovery should take less than 10 minutes. ... and Gilles, can you bring Brutus?

I am not sure we will get a proper Bill of Sale......... It is wonderful what you can find on Kijiji!

Cheers!
Stuart

My only concern would be that the engine is understrength; probably only one donkey-power.

M37s on Kijiji

I have been trolling through Kijiji looking for M38A1 Jeeps. Indifferent to the responses. Either overpriced, badly hacked up or visibly abused. Don't know why, but I pecked in M37 in the cars and trucks section of Kijiji. One in Ontario, "appraised at 18,000". Thanks no. Changed to Quebec and restarted the search. Three popped up. One posted twice. The one that attracts me the most has a modern V8 instead of the original straight-six. In that purely Quebec of naming customs, this one is located in a village that translates to Saint-Bears.

M-37 ?

Hello Terry,

Would you know of someone be interested in a 1952 Cdn M-37 with winch ?

It is not in running condition but complete.

Robert

Michel D 06-03-13 01:31

what price are you selling the truck!

maple_leaf_eh 06-03-13 03:37

M37s

Don't buy one! Get a fleet! They haven't made these things since 1953.

rob love 06-03-13 04:22

Actually, Terry, they made them right into the late 60s.

Frank v R 06-03-13 04:25

M-37

that would be a M-37B1

M100 Cdn on kijiji

Here is a decent looking M100, unmolested, and at a very reasonable price. Located in Okotoks AB.

Scott Bentley 23-05-13 18:11

Oh man... So far away....

rob love 23-05-13 21:47

So buy it, and have someone stow it in Alberta for you. Someone will be driving accross country sooner or later and they can earn a few hundred dragging it for you. Or it can leap frog. Guys are always coming from Ab to my place.....they can leave it here. Sooner or later it will make it to Winnipeg. It's that continental divide of Winnipeg to Sioux St MArie that becomes the long obstacle.

Alternatively, you will be posted to Alberta sooner or later.

If I knew anyone near Calgary, it would be gone!

Posting to Alberta.... Getting far too close to 25 for that Rob :)

rob love 24-05-13 02:12

Never say never Scotty. The west makes Ontario seem like a rat race, and you'll get to learn what real winter is.......so much winter you will get to brag about each month that you survive. Not that Calgary has the same winters as Edmonton or Manitoba mind you.

There are a few forum members from Alberta, and since Calgary is now the center of the universe (sorry Toronto, but I think you lost that title) they all get down there occasionally.

If I didn't already have 10 trailers in the yard (2 in the 1/4 ton class) I would jump at this one.

derk derin 24-05-13 07:09

A place here in Winnipeg

I can bring it from Rob's place to here in Winnipeg and hold onto it until somebody is willing to take it further down the road for you.I would also be interested in this trailer but I have willpower now and can easily talk myself out of purchases!
Derk.

And its gone.....

rob love 24-05-13 18:45

To you Scott, or to whereabouts unknown?

If you still need one, here is another in Alberta for a bit more money and needs some TLC. Still has it's intervehicle cable box on the front: http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLar...yword=military

Unknown Rob, but not me.

Thanks for pointing out the second one.

Although I have been lusting after an M100 for some time now, I still don't have the stomach (close though) to go through the same logistical hoops I went through to get my M151A2 from Red Deer AB to Trenton ON.

chris vickery 26-05-13 01:42

You know it really ticks me off when a seller puts something up, answers your email once to say its available and then when you respond that you will take it never gets back to you only to discover its sold...especially when the guy tells you that you are first in line.
I have been trying to contact the seller since Rob put this up for us and no answers from the seller.

rob love 28-05-13 04:32

M104 Cdn $500 in Ottawa area

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ469293361

Here is a bargain for a trailer. A little big for the family car, but basically you are paying for the two tires and getting the trailer for free.

If no-one out that way wants it, could someone snap it up for me and I'll figure out a way to get it here?

Robin Craig 28-05-13 13:29

Rob

I am happy to:-

1 recover it for you

2 send it out west by local long distance trucking company

3 if you bid i will do all the rest

Im about to get rained out of the fields today anyway so an excursion to kemptville is fine

R

rob love 28-05-13 15:28

Robin
Thanks for the offer. I have sent you a PM.

I have been considering a road trip through that way sometime this fall and could possibly pick it up then.

Dano McLaren 28-05-13 21:37

Does look good. I have an affiliation with a trucking company in Kitchener, if we could get it this far, they would give you the best rate. Let me know if you are going to be in the area regardless. Would be happy to host you here if I am around.

derk derin 30-05-13 06:31

Another trailer?

Rob,
I thought you said you had enought trailers? Or did a spot open up in the yard?
Derk.

rob love 30-05-13 14:10

Doesn't matter, since the trailer has already sold. I was mostly interested in getting the tires....still need a total of 3 to finish the MLVW. My thanks to a couple of forum members (Robin, Micheal) who tried to secure it for me....time just wasn't on my side.

I don't get nuthing :(

Here is another for a bit more money. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLar...yword=military It seems to have some form of ventilation through portions of the body. This seems to be something commonly done out east to prevent water from collecting in the trailer. We don't do that here in the West.
