Jimmy's and Dodge's seem to be located all trough France. I do remember that about every small garage still had WO2 equipment in use about 15 years ago, when we used to drive through Normandy and Bretagne with my parents during holidays.

With defences like that impenetrable (sp?) jerry can wall, you know your MV's will be safe. :D I`m gonna go build one now!

The Photo from page 307 is the Chernobyl Disaster Holding yard all those vehicles are the ones the used to clean up after the meltdown and to ferry the workers in and out . They all probably glow in the dark now the would have received a massive amount of radiation.

the photo from page 265 was taken in the marshallmuseum in holland after it was moved to overloon "liberty park"

I agree with the location, but not with the time span.:teach: It is indeed a picture taken in Overloon, but before the Marshall Museum was moved there. The Ward is from the Overloon collection; You can see the Panther hull in it's base coat next to the Ward and the Panther was finished before the Marshall collection made their move. The "new building" was partly built on top of the old building you see in the picture. The corner pictured is now actually used as a workshop and is now the basement.

Renault 4! My mom has owned a couple, I learned to drive in one of those. Later bought one myself. Beautifully utilitarian, reliable vehicles. The 4 was Renault's answer to Citroën's 2CV, but never reached the same cult status, even though it was much more practical.

They were used in standard and modified form - with four wheel drive conversion by Sinpar - by various Armies. Attached goes a pic of a scale model.
