WHY?
Very minor rust in the hatch
Very minor rust in the cab
Original early dash
Chevron tyres but perished.

It had run about 7 years earlier.

Pictures will follow in due course.
Ian :)

Ian's new F15A (congrats, Ian!)

What did the 25pdr sell for?

Tony Smith 13-11-06 07:28

There were no artillery pieces in the auction. There were 6 25pdr projectiles however, fairly rusty with no markings visible $140ea.

ChrisG 13-11-06 07:47

I saw some 25pdr cleaning rods that were broken up and sold as individual pieces.....

Arron Walker 14-11-06 09:27

Did anyone get any close up photos of the LVTs?

LVT4 (with Series 1 Land Rover) with no track on RHS, passed in at $4000.

LVT with dummy gun in turret, only has 1/2 length of track on RHS (retained by fencing wire!), passed in.

LVT turret. (Did this sell?)

The Sale...Dubbo

I agree with all that Tony says....

It was a very long hot day.. Some things were super cheap and some things were mad!

Thanks Hanno, I will photo the truck on Sunday when I pick it up.. It is wrapped in a 'bunny rug' tarpaulin until I can get it properly out of the weather..

I have a few things to do. (well maybe lots) but the truck is good for originality.

Can anyone give me some tips on uploading pics??

I think I have attached the F60!!!!!!!!!!!

Ian

Hi Ian

Have a read of the instructions which should explain it for you.

Looking forward to seeing lots of pics.

Tony,

Thanks for the photos of the LVTs. Looks like they are missing quite a few bits.

Descriptions

I have a bit of a problem with something like this:

http://www.milweb.net/webverts/36605/e.jpg

When it is advertised like this:

Quote:

Rare Ford 41 F60 Blitz, ex Australian army Western Desert WW11,orig troop body and fittings. £2300 pounds.
When it is not particularly rare, nor 41, nor ex Western Desert. It also looks to be a 15cwt with a non-original rear body.

Well, yes... Did they sell the F60L with the timber stores body? Perhaps that's the one in which case the misrepresentation only applies to Western Desert, 41 and rare. It also had the doors tek screwed shut.

aj.lec 01-12-07 23:05

They are still there, now for sale or trade, 3 years after the auction. So have his prices come down?. Has any one had a Gecco at the Dimond T? ie how compleat in the running gear.

Shakey, one of the Pucka boys, see you at Corowa

aj.lec 27-02-09 23:35

Finally got out to have a look at the diamond t ,not the best thing I have ever seen
chassis plated repair on one side ,no axles and rust in most of the lower cab but other than that mechanically reasonably complete

It seems the Studebaker didn't sell after all. To quote scott:

I wonder what else is still there? Did the LP2 carrier sell all those years ago?

Crane not so good. It is the one with the fowler crane on the back .That picture must have been taken while still inside .It has been outside holding the wing on the Neptune down since auction
Diamond still there
Salladin was sold about a month ago along with a dingo
Neptune still there
1941 Ford still there
Turrett still sitting out front .Dont know what it is off but suspect a centurion
Carrier sold before auction
Other than that pretty much all gone
