The SD&G-badge in perspective.
Nothing to add except for the badge is perhaps easier to read on this image.

Thanks Geoff, I'll have to take a look to see if maybe my Uncle is in this picture, he served with the SD&G.

Cheers :)

Hi Mark, am just wondering if you've found your Uncle in the photo as yet?

Karmen

Hello. Has the picture the right size to recognize the faces more clearly? How many MB's can I mail to an average mailbox in Canada? The one you have is appr. 450 Kb. I can send you a more detailed picture if you want.
How can we arrange that? Maybe have to contact Geoff first?

Busy-boy ... those "little" things become big things you know ... and can learn stuff :D bet you like that idea huh? :D

I think I'll search out those RWR scans from June '43 in the UK ... I'm still determined to pick out my Uncles face too. Its a challenge but I did great at spotting NORM in another photo in here ... 3 times lucky :D

Take time out for eye and brain rests Mark-O ... ya gotta be on the ball soon there Grandpappy :p

Wigger;

Thank you for the offer, but my Uncle may not even be in the picture. An Infantry Battalion was a big organization (approx 700 (+ or -) men), and the 155 pictured are only a fraction of the Battalion's strength.

Cheers :)

What, you mean you aren't :teach: reading to, and talking to the little one whilst still in utero? I used to read my daughters stories and sing to them, talked to them all the time, BEFORE they were born. :note: this: It works! :D George 1 and Grandmammy may be upset with me for telling you this :devil: )
