This is a FORD book. This time it is for landing operations. Much less work than Long Immersion but still lots of hours.

Just found this in the box. The Americans put it all in one book (475 pages!) Typical American manual, well laid out and clearly explained.
Does this excellent self explanatory picture need any words? In the weapon section they should just have said "Place weapon in supplied throw-away plastic bag and tie knot in the end" but no.... |
I will do one more. If someone wants one off the list let me know. First in first served.
Lang Oops! Sorry Jordan, just remembered you asked for the Chevrolet Wireless. That will be it. Good choice for direct comparison for the same size Ford vehicle above. When I get a few minutes spare. |
Thanks so much
Hi Lang
Thank you so much for taking the time to scan and share these documents. I've been away from my main computer for several days so I had not been able to read them. A tablet just doesn't do them justice beside could not figure out how to turn off the auto up-right feature so they were always sideways. Now I'm saving them all as photos and will rotate them and put them in order once done I'll try and post them as PDF documents. Again there is just so much information in these pages, Thank you Cheers Phil |

If I get the energy after doing Jordan's Chevrolet I will do the Officers Notes as there is a wealth of information about all things amphibious. I did the scanning at very high resolution which the MLU forum will not accept. If you give me an email address I will send the high res copies to you. Lang |

As I said above, these pages are as big as the forum will allow. They were scanned high definition so I am happy to email the good copy to anybody who is keen to print their own manual (not everybody just to look at).

Thanks for the Waterproofing posts
Hi Lang
Just down loaded all the pages so I have some interesting reading. Can tell from a quick glance that the description of waterproofing a Chevy CMP matched where I found water proof compounding on my 42 Pattern 13 C60S. Cheers Phil |

I suppose you will be down at the hardware store to buy some putty. lang |

Anybody seen this for modern cars?
Hi Lang
With all of the flooding we are seeing this spring in the US wonder how long it will be before you will see intake snorkels and exhaust extensions on modern cars as an option. Can just see the first instruction- Remove large drain plug and open doors before driving your car on flooded roads. This is to ensure the car sinks and traction is maintained. Cheers Phil |

Great way to wash the mud off
Hi Owen
Good one, remember seeing still photos of these test in Popular Mechanics or Popular Science as a kid in the 1950s. Cheers Phil |
