Needed to get around 50 suits ordered to do the production run, so from what I read and talked to Jim about it had to be moved a little to the right so more orders could come in, but I assume it is on the move now, maybe Jim can kick in when he gets up today..

Remko 25-03-17 23:26

That's a pitty......

I was told by Irfan that he would ship last week march and arrival on location 1st week april.

I have a big event april 7, 8 and 9..... hoping the suit will / would be there...

Cheers

Remko

Lauren Child 25-03-17 23:36

Has anyone had confimation of the order?

I sent one in just before the previous closing date, but haven't heard anything.

Remko 31-03-17 22:17

Lauren,

Just mail Irfan worldwing1@gmail.com
He's pretty quick with a reply (he was in my case)

Sure he will confirm (if the amount is paid)

Cheers

Pixie suit

I ordered a set today. Irfan was very helpfull and forthcoming. Delivery scheduled for end of May. I was the last man in the APC . Ramp is slowly closing guys... hurry up .

Petr Brezina 06-04-17 12:20

My guys ordered few coveralls in end of February, so for sure they were in the first batch and today Irfan noted that they will be ready maybe in June!
When ordered they have been scheduled to "mid or end of April".
I don't know what's going on, but something went wrong? Jim, would you be so kind and check the situation with Irfan? Many thanks :salute:

RichardT10829 06-04-17 13:38

I had that happen last week.....had to add a quart of oil to the reservoir. Make sure you use mil-h-5606....not any old hydraulic oil will do.

When did you last email/message him?

I sent him a message yesterday and had a response almost immediately.

Tim

RichardT10829 06-04-17 19:11

Last week buddy

Actually it was the week before last... just looked.

Tim Bell 07-04-17 16:46

I suggested to him yesterday that it would be a good idea if he sent a status update to everyone... he said he would... so hopefully you'll get a note soon enough.

On facebook he responds within about 2 hrs normally.

Tim

Jim Burrill 07-04-17 21:25

Hi Folks!
Remko got his suit on time. I look forward to a review from him for the list.

Irfan says that "all people will get his suits in next 80 days one bye one as they ordered"

I have an order for two suits in myself. I am anxious to see them and know that everything turned out right with the production order.

I have high hopes that this project will turn out well for us all, and then will try the same good results for the denim tank suits.

Irfan and I are going to split the $5,000.00 cost to buy the 1,000 yard roll of custom dyed green denim for the project.

Measurements will need to be done again over your skivvies instead of BD jackets. I expect most folks will not wear much under the suits except a t-shirt.

Last year i borrowed an original size 6 from a friend. ams and legs a bit (2") short.
I ordered a size 8 (me being 2 meters and approx 105kg)

The suit is made very wel. including a hood. Great materials used.
I will compare it to an original with photos (picasa album i will share)

The fabric is not as thick as the original (by first feel) but the manouverebility is greater.
Inside lining is great looks like the original wool but not as itchy .
11 pockets (incl 1 behind the 4 button jacket like lining)
Good feel of the fabric.
Extreme warm with just a t-shirt and shirt wearing denim trousers.

Inside suspenders are a little short. Thinking they would go from behind over the shoulder to the fasteners in front. This will not fit for me (leaving these hanging down)
Adding 25 - 30 cm to the 'straps' would fix it (+ compensation for a big belly ;) )

Zipp for the quick pee :)
2 stop button for leg and arm adjusment
2 strap collar

Will post some pics wearing it tomorrow.

Now for me to make a CM hood number on the jeep and 12th field markings. (anyone??)
Trailer will also get it's correct CX markings and tandem hitch back after restauration.

Jim Burrill 07-04-17 21:43

Thanks so much for the picture! The new fabric does look closer to original than the test suit.

Now, if the fit is good and all the other details are right...
Keeping fingers crossed!

Jim

Petr Brezina 07-04-17 22:04

Looks very nice!
So hopefully there will be no more postpones and guys will get their coveralls on time. We need them for one important action in the beginning of June.
Thanks Jim.

Denim crew suit

Jim,

Count me in for a couple of the denim crew suits when that project starts coming online!

Thanks for all the efforts you put into this.

I am looking forward receiving my pixie suit end of May because I ordered late.

That may happen when you serve your country 5261 km from home.. I look at a map of the continent every day . I miss my Carrier , ahahaha :) , I mean my family.. .

Cheers.

Robert

Chuck Anderson 08-04-17 00:52

I ordered mine on 12/28, so hopefully it'll be arriving soon.

horsa 08-04-17 02:48

Ditto for me as well with ordering 12/28 even though we knew they wouldn't start production until enough orders were placed.

Update for 4/8/17 that I got a DHL Express delivery notice text on my phone that the package is scheduled to arrive 4/13/17. So next week we'll get to see what it looks like :-)

Remko 08-04-17 18:01

A lot of good first impressions on the Pixie.
Very warm riding an open jeep in 10-12C
Special the high collar.... no need to fasten the two straps..... just put em up.

Do remind to wear an old denim and an old shirt under it, because the green lining leaves a mark on the worn under it. :(

lssah2025 08-04-17 18:06

Remko, I can't see your pictures that you downloaded, any other way to view them?

Remko 08-04-17 20:16

Issah,

I'll put a link to a web album.... hope you can see that.

Robert Bergeron 08-04-17 20:35

Goddamit that's a nice suit ! Hey how tall are you man ?

Remko 08-04-17 20:52

Hi,

No need to swear, but the suit is a std. size 8.
I'm 2 meters tall and weigh approx 105kg

Irfan did an amazing job.

Other than the previous mentionend short straps (approx 12" to short) the suit is great.
Now it needs patina :)

RichardT10829 08-04-17 22:48

Spend a week in a carrier matey....soon give you all the patina you need :D

lssah2025 10-04-17 13:42

Wow they look very good, and wow you are a tall fellow, the jeep looks like a dinky toy..... thanks for the link to the album Remko, was able to see them..
