I'd say no, as it doesn't have the typical features of the Indian Pattern bodies.

Is there a date and location know of this photo?

Unfortunately not known. I have already seen a truck with a similar cab, but could not find out where it was assembled.

Caption "WW2 British India Army Military Truck Colonial War Vintage Singapore Photo 17847" only gives a bit of a clue...

US Army Canadian Military Pattern Trucks ride alongside Camels in India (1943)

Another extremely interesting WW2 era photo that shows the stark contrast between two modes of transport. The truck, a Canadian Military Pattern Chevy 3 Tonner, is traversing the rough roads on top of metal strips.

Indian involvement in WW2 , especially Indian troops on the European front is rarely discussed. However, the Allies involvement on Indian soil itself is even more obscure part of WW2 history. This picture, which captures American troops driving a Canadian built truck on Indian soil under the authority of the British Empire, captures the true global nature of the conflict.
