If you have the measurements please do dig them out it could be fun to see how much they vary.
Niels, Silvain, the FAT.....or actually two FATs, I measured, lacked most of rear body and lids. Attached is a pic of the side, rearmost lid. The other pic shows the side bin right above the rear wheel; sadly the lid was missing.
The measuring aid--> large white and black blocks are 5cmx5cm, small blocks are 1cmx1cm

By the way, both trucks were for sale as a job lot, with one very good chassis. They might still be available(?). Peter Geert Hommes was the broker for the trucks.

hello
And thank you very much for all this precious mesurements! :thup2: And in metric!

After what I foud on internet they used recuted Ford A door hinge , What about the hatch, is it also reused from an other wehicle or only cmp?

I see the truck that you pictured was painted in white inside , that's also the case of mine, is it original ,or post war?

What about the lids lock , are they standart, or will I have to rebuilt them?

Thank you again, :)
Sylvain

The only thing I can think of is a Bridge plate(?), but I don't know why it would be fitted in the cabin.

Do you mean the hatch above the passenger? If so, I think the hatch if purely CMP. I am not sure if the cab 13 one is the same? That would help you in finding one.

Indeed, the one I pictured was white on the inside. Factory photos show the inside painted in the same shade as the outside, so I presume the white is post-war (?)

Locks, latches and all those small bits; lot's of these were standard stock at the time and some are still being made. I found a latch for my CMP toolbox at a supplier of musical instruments...apparently they are stil used for cases to store musical instruments. Also keep an eye out on flea markets...sometimes you will find this old stuff on cheap old cases and boxes.

hello Alex

Thank you for reply.
For the pasenger picture , it's clear , something whas mounted in the inside, What do you think about a round light?

For the hatch , yes i talk about the passenger one, I know the cab 13 is a bit different but maybe the normal cab 12 hatch is the same?

Thank you for the tip for the tool box lock I will search by musik supplier, I need all the tool box looks so i would be a great adress! :)

best regards :)
Sylvain

Are these the correct front guide rollers for the winch of a Cab 11/12 FGT?
It was among the parts I got with my second CGT.

Sylvain, keep up the good work :thup2:

The locks you are looking for is called a turn buckle and can be found on British ammunition boxes and Land Rovers; as far as I know they are (practically) the same - see http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product...RN-BUCKLE.html for example.

Harlé Sylvain 04-02-16 18:40

Hello Anno!

Thank you for your answer , :thup2: I know for the ammunition boxes (my picture came from a 2" navy box) But not for the land rover!!!! I drive a defender every day but He must be too youg!

That will help me, I welded the first steel plates today and will have to position the hatches soon !

Cheers
Sylvain

Happy to say I saw the chassis and driveline of this truck yesterday, stored away somewhere safely for future restoration.

Sylvain,

Great project, sad to hear it was butchered for the wrong reasons.

The bodies were manufactured by independent body manufacturers and could be fitted to either Ford or Chevrolet chassis.

The following scan may be of some help for its reconstruction:

Attachment 77302

what is the difference between body variants 7B1 , 7B2 and 7B3 ?
