Lex, this is your old truck, right?

It is advertised for sale in France.....
I wonder if it's actually located in France....or still in Germany...as the pic location seems to be the same as in Lex' pictures. Still sad to see this rare Canadian in this state.

The Cameron resto Diamond is also on Milweb again (and was also on Ebay last week). http://www.milweb.net/webvert/75285

Two Canadian Diamonds T975's......one incorrectly advertised as a 970, even though the date plate says 975 and the other incorrectly advertised as "US army" and "US corps of engineers"....where is the world going to... :teach:

Yes, that's my old truck!! same picture even, so better have a look in person if someone is thinking of buying it! that picture was taken at least 12 years ago!

Hope it will find a good home!

Grtz,

Lex

A T975, have just been pulled from museum storage in Denmark, and is now heading for restoration at the danish tank museum in Jutland.

Nice to see some more popping up!!

Have in the meantime seen my old one, it's in Germany, just over the Luxembourg border, but needs restoration, having been outside for a long time.

On the plus side I am helping the owner to recover the registration papers, so it will have a full set of dutch papers.

Cheers,

Lex

Small Diamond T 975 Update.

It seems Overloon has let their 975 go and it's now on auction at Trackandtrade/BAIV:

https://auction.tracksandtrade.com/a...ridge-erection

In Normandy 2019 I found the ex-Cameron 975 now also owned by someone here in Holland.

Lex former 975 was finally picked up by Robbert here on the forum that also bought the low-mileage ex-Norway 975 that Hanno posted in this thread.

Yes, I saw the Overloon one being in the auction, they are doing away with some postwar vehicles, and this is borderline I guess, as they weren't really used untill postwar.

Cheers,

Lex

The auctioneer describes it as built in 1945, and reengineered into a boat transporter in the 1950s for use in Korea. Until now I didn't realise this configuration was post-WW2.

Quote:

Diamond 4-Ton 6×6 Truck T975 for Boat Bridge Erection, Trailer, 2 Wheel, Utility and Boat Bridge Erection 27 ft.
Very rare and impressive unit designed and used in the Korean War!

This combination is basically an upgraded Diamond 4 Ton 6×6 Truck T975 long wheelbase (produced in 1945) which has been executed in the fifties for the specific purpose to transport a Bridge erection boat. It is featuring an open cab, winch and comes with many small details.

The unit is an older restoration. Truck and trailer will be delivered in as-is condition but running and with operational brakes and electrical / light system.
Will come with Dutch road licence.

The Boat for Bridge Erection (27 ft) is only externally restored.
Boat is basically complete, both engines are still installed but need a full maintenance / restoration.

It is a very nice and complete unit and therefore a very impressive combination and a great buy for the serious collector. This is most probably the only surviving example in this condition!
