Yes there were at least two GS versions here. One is restored and was for sale a few years back in QLD. The body fitted to this vehicle doesn't look correct http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=29873 For Sale listing: https://salesandauctions.com.au/cate...ld-Pialba.html Around twenty C8 4x4 portees are listed in the ARN 126 books . A friend had two of these without the portee bodywork. I can recall looking at the unusual sub-chassis that the cabs sat on. |
Hey Keith
That bottom one is me and my truck affectionately known as Pugsley. 👍 |
There is one known original Morris Commercial C8 GS picture known to me, also published on my website.
http://www.panzerknacker.nl/morris/a.../dutch1944.jpg This picture was taken by a Dutch volunteer (Willem Timmer) undergoing commando training in Scotland around the end of 1944 / beginning of 1945. And offcourse my own early C8 :-) http://www.panzerknacker.nl/morris/a...en/sjoerd6.jpg Rgds. Sjoerd |
