Gearbox and differential almost finished.
Now started with the bottom of the hull. I received from Simon Delaney a package with parts as the ventilator boxes and steps, adjustment parts for the tools at the rear side. Cheers Marcel. Attachment 90590 Attachment 90591 Attachment 90592 Attachment 90593 |

I have rebuilt several of those assemblies over the years by simply cleaning them up and installing new ball bearings. They all turned out like new.

After a busy period with my work i had pick up my project today.
At first today i turn over the hull on the other side to take away the last broken rivets. Earlier this week i had pick up some parts likes a front seat, front mudguard and a ice crabber. Can someone help me with a good/close up photo how the ice crabber mounted at the lower hull? Cheers Marcel |

Marcel, do I see portions of a MK-II commander seat with non-original support arms attached?
The ice scraper blade mounts on a specific block, the block is bolted to the lower hull in a semi-permanent fashion. Those ice scraper blades are specifically for winter use, not to be used on turf. They may remove soil off the hub exterior and force it into the hub interior. When the ‘F’ series sprockets were introduced, the first pattern ice scraper blades had to be modified to fit. Usually they can be observed with flame cutting modifications. The 1944 dated blades can be identified in factory production with the necessary changes. The image you posted shows an early ice scraper blade. Your other images show you do not have ‘F’ series sprockets. A good place for the ice scraper blades? Left in the stowage bin. That may help you finishing your day with the same number of fingers you started with. |
Michael , thanks for this information about the ice scraper.
The scraper brackets are on the hull of my carrier but i didn't have some blades for this brackets. I will keep this blades storage at the box so i will keep my fingers.(always easy to order 5 beer with showing one hand with 5 fingers). About the commander seat ,i was thinking it belongs to a MK2 but otherwise can it be possible that this kind of seat were use at the latest MK1 carrier? Yes i found out it had some piece what not belongs to this seat. Cheers Marcel. |

I had make a start with the replacement of the upper armour at my carrier.
At first i mount all the parts with bolt and nut and later with rivets. My wheels are also done with new rubber. I had try to upload some photo's of the progress but unfortunately after resized the photo's and uploaden the photo's are turned upside down. Cheers Marcel. |

Hi all, it is almost a year ago since my last post here but i am still working on my carrier.
The upper armour will be for the biggest part ready so soon it will be rivet time. I have put back the cross tube and the rear suspension and now works at the rear deck. Cheers Marcel. Attachment 110376 Attachment 110377 Attachment 110378 |

Nice work Marcel.
BTW. The bit you have marked out for cutting, where the lift eyes go, folds down and bolts to the lift eye top 2 bolts. Just in case you were just going to cut it. |
Thanks Lynn.
I will check some photo's and the workshopbook for the bolts of the lift eye. Marcel. |
Lovely work Marcel!
Have you found a solution for the rivetting in the meantime? Are you doing it yourself? Alex |
Thanks Alex
At first i found someone who wants to do it but later on that person say not possible. So now i will try to do it by my self when i have all the items. Cheers Marcel. |
Excellent work there. Once that riveting is done, it’s all plain sailing then
I’ve got two hulls to do, hoping to start one over Christmas, all takes time and money :fry: Keep up the pace and plenty of pictures of the riveting process  |
